Michael Baumer has practiced bankruptcy law nearly exclusively for over 25 years. He has been licensed to practice law in Texas since 1984, and has been board certified in both consumer and business bankruptcy law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization since 1998, one of the few attorneys in Austin to have both certifications. In addition, he has been elected to a fourth term as president of the Austin Bankruptcy Bar Association and has served on its board for over 15 years, has served on the local rules committee, and is a frequent speaker on bankruptcy related topics. Michael has recently been named a Texas Super Lawyer.

Mary Lou Clark has been licensed to practice law in Texas since 1978 and is also a certified public accountant. She has practiced bankruptcy law since 1992 both in Austin and the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Mary Lou joined our firm in 2009 as an associate attorney, consulting with clients in our Marble Falls office.

Sarah Dougharty McHaney has been licensed to practice law since 1987, specializing in bankruptcy since 1990. Previously, she was the staff attorney for the Austin Chapter 13 Trustee and most recently was employed for ten years as the briefing attorney for The Honorable Frank R. Monroe, former U.S. Bankruptcy Judge in the Austin Division. Sarah joined our firm in 2010 as an associate attorney, consulting with clients in our Bastrop office.

Chapter 13 cases frequently involve ongoing communications with secured creditors and the Chapter 13 Trustee's office, and Renée's expertise is invaluable in the smooth operation and successful conclusion of our Chapter 13 cases.
